Our Signature Collection of
5.5oz body bar soaps

  • We use all natural ingredients. Our baseline ingredients for our Signature Collection include Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, and Rice Bran Oils. Plus, whatever essential oil blend you choose. All of our colorants are natural as well, such as turmeric and spirulina powders.

  • We are all about minimal packaging. Our soap packaging includes only a paper belly band label. When shipped, we wrap in brown Kraft paper which can be reused, recycled, or composted.

  • We ship anywhere in the United States using USPS or UPS shipping. We do offer local pick-up in Scranton or Clarks Summit areas in PA.

  • We craft our soaps using the longstanding Cold Process method which consists of emulsifying oils with sodium hydroxide, or lye, then allowing the resulting soap bars to cure for a minimum of 4 weeks.

  • Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH), is also referred to as caustic soda or lye. We use this chemical compound in our soap production as most soap makers do. Sounds scary, but rest assured that although we put lye in, the lye does not stay. When lye is emulsified with fatty acids, the oils and butters in our recipe, a saponification process begins. After 48 hours the lye is gone. It has bonded with the fatty acids and soap crystals were created, AKA a bar of skin safe soap was formed!

West Grove Soaps LLC is a small business located in a cozy corner of northeastern Pennsylvania. Our purpose is to handcraft all-natural body products made from a simple list of versatile ingredients. Made in-house and small batch by Owner and Maker, Kathleen Connolly.

Kathleen lives with her husband and their dog, Champ. After taking her first soap making workshop in 2021, she immediately connected with the craft and has not stopped making soaps since. She has many plans for inventory expansion, so come follow along on Instagram for updates and fun videos of soap production!

West Grove Soaps is an offshoot to our sister store, Two Homes, which offers handcrafted and eco-friendly home decor and kitchen items.
